Description:

Physician provides comprehensive, coordinated primary and preventive health care to Care Alliance patients. With Ryan White program, detect for the early intervention services and focus on primary care services.

Task Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care for adults. May include care to children and special populations such as HIV depending on qualifications.
  • Serve as preceptor to residents, medical students and advance practice nursing students.
  • Attend monthly provider meetings.
  • Remain current with standards of practice.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by Medical Director.
  • HIV counseling and testing.
  • Monitoring of disease progression.
  • Treatment of HIV.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of related infections; and
  • Case management and assistance accessing other Federal, State, and local programs that could provide needed health and support services to people living with HIV/AIDS.
Requirements:

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Board certified in family practice or internal medicine.
  • Current Ohio license to practice medicine.
  • Valid DEA certificate.
  • Successful completion of Care Alliance credentialing process.
Preferred:
  • Minimum 2 years-experience in certified field preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with medically underserved populations preferred.
  • Experience with applicable public health issues preferred.
Technology Requirements:Basic understanding and familiarity with the following:
  • EPIC
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
