2nd Shift - Shift Differential

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Manages pick ticket orders. Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, quantity, and quality requirements. Ensures that orders are accurate. Stages items correctly for delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pulls and packs product based on daily order pick lists. Put items pulled on pallets.
  • Meets specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Keeps products separated, organized and in good rotation.
  • Monitors product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
  • Operates various pieces of equipment (Electrical Pallet Jacks).
  • Reports any mechanical problems.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Follows good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices. Comply with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Performs accurate inventory transactions with RF scan gun to ensure order fulfillment throughout all systems
  • Communicates with Distribution Center Supervisor regarding quality issues and continually monitoring and communicating inventory needs and potential adjustments of bin counts
  • Assists with receiving, putting away of finished goods or raw materials, loading or unloading of trailers, and filling customer orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous forklift experience preferred

COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
  • Forklift certification from Hopkins will be required
  • Strong reading, mathematical, communication skills, ability to work well with others required
  • Ability to use RF scan guns and other required warehouse management systems (WMS)

Work Environment: Work conditions are consistent with a warehouse environment. Frequent exposure to warehouse operations requires the understanding and use of required PPE applicable to that environment. The ability to tolerate extreme temperatures while working in the warehouse environment is a requirement. Low impact repetitive motions are frequent and must be physically tolerated. The employee must be able to meet the physical requirements of standing for 8 hours on a concrete surface and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
