This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.What You\'ll Do:

• Work with pesticides and various arthropods, including mixing and applying beneficial organisms.
• Scout for pests, beneficial organisms, and perform checks on plant quality.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure proper application amounts.
• Support watering and fertilization of crops.
• Perform a variety of tests on growing media.
• Support various plant care research.
• Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation:

• You have your High School Diploma/GED.

What Skills You Need:

• You have 5 years of education and/or experience in a plant science field such as horticulture, agronomy, plant pathology or other related discipline.
• You pay careful attention to detail and follow standard operating and safety/ergonomics protocols.
• You value safety and are willing and able to wear appropriate PPE including a respirator when needed.
• You have excellent communication skills, a high degree of self-motivation, possess a positive attitude and work well independently as well as in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• You have good basic computer skills including experience with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), and are willing/able to gain competency with internally developed research software.
• You are willing and able to stand/sit for long periods of time, lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive work in a warm, humid greenhouse with pollen present year-round.
• You are willing and able to obtain an Iowa Pesticide Certification for Greenhouse 3G.
• You are willing and able to work a primarily day shift schedule including rotational weekend work (approximately every 6th weekend) to support business needs.
