Summary: A Residential Plumber is an expert in plumbing needs in the residential division of Roscoe Brown. Work with customers to ensure the best products and services are delivered on each and every residential plumbing job.

General Duties and Responsibilities for a Plumber - Residential\xe2\x80\x93 (included, but not limited to):

• Installs pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, sewer, and gas
• Drain cleaning experience
• Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures
• Assembles fittings and valves for installation
• Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed
• Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary
• Collaborates with homeowner in installing plumbing
• Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building
• Oversees other workers, such as apprentices and helpers

• Able to operate and lift heavy equipment
• Knowledge of plumbing and building codes
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
• Ability to manage a Plumbing Truck

Education/Experience/Skills for a Plumbing - Residential:

• Minimum of 2 years of plumbing experience required.
• Starting pay determined by years of experience

Licenses or Certifications Required for Plumber - Residential:

• TN Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and insurability requirements apply

Physical/Mental/Visual Requirements: Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, use of manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision, color definition, hearing, and speech. Heavy lifting required. Frequently sits, kneels, bends, steps up/down and/or reaches above shoulder.

Physical Working Conditions: Works inside, around moving equipment, exposed to noise/vibrations. Occasionally works outside, exposed to excessive cold/heat, excessive humidity/dampness and operates moving equipment or vehicles. Rarely works alone, exposed to dust/dirt/pollen, water, chemicals/ solvents/detergents/cleaners. Walks on uneven surfaces or climbs ladders. Hazards may include back injury.
