Job Description

```Duties:
- Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain public safety and orderWill be keeping the peace between security and private property violator
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview witnesses
- Write detailed reports on incidents, arrests, and activities
- Serve warrants and make arrests when necessary
- Provide traffic control and enforce traffic laws
- Assist with crowd control at public events or demonstrations
- Conduct community outreach programs to educate the public on crime preventionRequirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified police academy program
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background investigation, including criminal history check and drug screening
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interacting with the public
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a diverse community
- Physical fitness and ability to meet departmental standards for strength, agility, and endurancePreferred Skills:
- Experience in animal care or handling for situations involving animal control or assistance
- Military experience or training in law enforcement techniques
- Conflict management skills for deescalating tense situations
- Leadership abilities for supervisory roles within the department
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies for crime reductionCertificates:
- Possession of a valid Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certificateDriving Requirements:
