Head Teacher Position



We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Teacher to join our team. Our preschool is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of children aged 3 to 5 years through a balanced approach that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our program emphasizes hands-on learning and incorporates art, music, movement, social-emotional development, and early childhood readiness skills to provide a well-rounded foundation for our students.

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Head Teacher to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape our expanding program and make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners.

Position Details:

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM Additional Prep Time: Built into the workday for curriculum planning and classroom organization.

What We Are Looking For:

A background in early childhood education and a passion for working with children aged 3 to 5 years. Experience or interest in incorporating art, music, movement, and STEM into classroom activities. A commitment to supporting social-emotional development and preparing children for the next stages of their educational journey. The ability to design and implement creative, hands-on lessons that support children?s developmental milestones. Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with parents in a positive, informative, and collaborative manner. A collaborative and positive approach to working with colleagues, students, and families.

Duties

Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate various teaching philosophies. Integrates art, music/movement, yoga, and STEM related activities into the daily curriculum. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Observe and assess children?s development and provide feedback to parents. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and dynamic learning environment. Maintain open and effective communication with parents and caregivers.

Requirements

Head Teaching Certification in early childhood education. Minimum of 1 year of head teaching experience with children ages 3 to 5. Knowledge of various teaching philosophies Experience in integrating art. music, movement, yoga, and STEM activities into the curriculum. Strong communication and organizational skills. A nurturing and patient attitude towards young children. Knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Background check and fingerprinted required
