This new team will be tasked with 1) assembling the foundational fact-base from which we begin all customer-centered activities at AT&T and 2) ensuring that stakeholder teams understand the relevance/importance of that fact-base (or individual insights) on AT&T\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and ambitions. This new team will prioritize Marketing\xe2\x80\x99s needs initially but will also deliver insights to other functions like PR, Social Media, Customer Experience, Network, Security, External Affairs, Product Development and more. The Insights Team will develop insights via novel and secondary research, will partner with external firms to leverage unique tools they\xe2\x80\x99ve developed, will scan the marketplace for a wide variety of inputs (including but not limited to audience definitions, societal pressures, emerging trends, buying behaviors, generational differences, economic impacts, evolving attitudes, geographical differences, etc.) and will help internal teams understand the potential implications of what they\xe2\x80\x99ve learned. At their best, the Insights Team will uncover insights through the consolidation, translation and interpretation if isolated data sets and share findings that are clear and inspire action, deepen customer relationships and unlock enduring growth.About the TeamThe new Insights function will be housed within the Marketing Strategy, Insights, Brand & Design Team and will work with a variety of AT&T functions and levels (SVPs, VPs, AVPs, Directors, etc.) and outside partners, and the team will become the source of truth as it relates to where people and the marketplace are going and to what signals AT&T must pay close attention.Required Experience and Expertise
The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of professional experience, a graduate or advanced degree in relevant areas for the position (MBA, Economics, Marketing, etc.), a strong record of developing insights and a breadth of marketing and strategy development experience from a world-class organization, and must demonstrate the following:1.
