Several of them serve as chief of gastroenterology at nearby hospitals, and a number of them have been recognized as top-quality physicians in publications, including but not limited to: Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors New Jersey, and US News Health - US News & World Report.We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full-Time Prior Authorization Specialist at Albany Gastroenterology Consultants of Albany of New York.The Prior Authorization Specialist Responsibilities are:

• Submit/obtain prior authorization for medical imaging studies
• CT, MRIs, Ultrasounds, Gastric emptying, HIDA
• Obtain patient records from other medical facilities/labs
• Schedule patients for their approved medical imaging
• Schedule and reschedule patients for their office visits and lab appointments
• Assist the scheduling department with patient walk ins
• Answer phone calls and check voicemails daily

The Prior Authorization Specialist must have the following qualifications and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Office experience preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Detail oriented
• Team player
