Description Overview

Perrigo Nutritional\'s located in Georgia, VT is looking to add a Process Automation Technician / Electrician Supervisor to their team. This position is responsible for the supervision, planning, training and development of the Instrument Technicians and Electricians. This includes the oversight of modifications to manufacturing control systems and related networks. Job functions include project management, design, layout and validation. This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance of the facility\'s calibration program and facility compliance with current electrical regulations.

Scope of the Role

• Supervises activities of Instrument Technicians and facility Electricians.
• Leads, guides and directs plant instrument calibration program and represents the facility during all audits with regards to instrument calibrations.
• Leads, guides and directs activities for the facility electricians.
• Works with Operations personnel to develop and/or implement changes in automated control systems.
• Troubleshooting and support of automated Control Systems plant wide.
• Develop and optimize operation and maintenance procedures for instrumentation and control systems. Trouble shoot, correct problems and provide technical support for new and existing systems. Develop validation documentation and implement validation plans
• Continually updates knowledge of appropriate cGMP, FDA, PMO, 3A, USDA, ADA, GAMP, ISO, OSHA, NFPA and other State and Federal regulations
• Acts as a project manager to support plant wide automation and electrical systems through development and review of electrical drawings, user requirement documentation and functional specifications.

Experience Required

• Experience working with electrical and automated control systems
• Experience in a technical lead or supervisor role is required.
• Experience teaching/mentoring good troubleshooting practices.
• Experience with automation software and electrical instrumentation for diagnostic purposes.
• Excellent project management experience.

Preferred Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline or more than 5 years working experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Vermont electrical license a plus.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation programming suite and GE SCADA a plus.
• Experience with Vision Systems a plus.
• Knowledge of a variety of Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFD\'s and HMI\'s.
