Overview:

As a Process-Chemical Designer, you will be working at a cutting-edge manufacturing plant in Boise, Idaho. You will be instrumental in expanding and optimizing facility operations to meet growing production needs. This position offers a dynamic work environment where you\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate closely with engineers, project coordinators, and construction trades. Your work will help translate innovative ideas into tangible designs, driving the operational excellence of the plant. Engaging in on-site work is a pivotal part of this role, where you\xe2\x80\x99ll be tasked with assessing existing field conditions and spearheading the implementation of new designs and systems. You\xe2\x80\x99ll leverage tools like Revit to create detailed 2D/3D drawing packages that bring our visions to life. With a blend of hands-on fieldwork and meticulous design, this role provides a constantly evolving set of challenges and opportunities for professional growth.

\xc2\xb7 Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree (AA) in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree

\xc2\xb7 6+ years of progressive CAD drafting/design experience of process systems

\xc2\xb7 2+ years of Revit 3D modeling/design experience

\xc2\xb7 Living in or willing to relocate to the Boise, Idaho area

Preferred Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 3+ years of Revit 3D modeling/design experience

\xc2\xb7 Prior exposure to a manufacturing plant environment

\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience with on-site punch list walks, coordination with various construction trades, and visual identification of diverse system types.

Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Regular site visits to verify existing field conditions and to ensure the alignment of the design implementation process with the project\xe2\x80\x99s Basis of Design (BOD) and specifications. \xc2\xb7 Coordinating effectively with project engineers, project coordinators, engineering coordinators, construction trades, and other team members to ensure that the design reflects the project\xe2\x80\x99s objectives. \xc2\xb7 Providing comprehensive 2D/3D drawing packages that are clear, accurate, and follow the site design standards. \xc2\xb7 Developing comprehensive chemical/mechanical plans including piping layout, equipment layout, schedules, and control schematics. \xc2\xb7 Creating detailed piping plans including pipe routing, instrument and valve locations, and equipment layout. \xc2\xb7 Drafting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) that show the interaction among system components and equipment. \xc2\xb7 Producing detailed flow diagrams for both gas-side and water-side systems (hazardous gases, chemicals, and water). \xc2\xb7 Implementing isometric views into design packages to assist in field installation and understanding. \xc2\xb7 Providing custom installation details for the more complex portions of projects. \xc2\xb7 Conducting punch-list walks on completed projects to ensure the final implementation adheres to the design intent. \xc2\xb7 Participates in the development and/or improvement of new and existing products for design change, cost reductions, warranty improvements, and manufacturability. Assists with evaluation of vendors. Ability to conduct field walks and field verifications \xc2\xb7 Provide drawing and drafting support for details, vendor submittals, and perform engineering drafting, drawing review, drawing control, and related services required in the design of engineered systems (i.e., tank and/or vessel design) #afelectronics
