Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Produce Associate to join our team. As a Produce Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and appearance of our produce department, assisting customers with their produce selections, and ensuring efficient operations within the department. Duties:
- Stocking and replenishing produce displays to ensure availability and freshness
- Inspecting and culling produce items that do not meet quality standards
- Organizing and rotating produce inventory to minimize waste
- Assisting customers in selecting high-quality produce items and providing product knowledge
- Weighing, packaging, and labeling produce items for sale
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move and transport produce
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the produce department
- Collaborating with team members to achieve department goals Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a produce department
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Bilingual skills (multilingual) are a plus
- Basic knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and other produce items
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is desirable but not required Please note that this position may require lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for extended periods.
