Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm (flex according to business needs)

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do:

Our team is growing and we\xe2\x80\x99ve created a new Product Developer role to join the Gymreapers team! You should be capable of executing the design and development of products based on creative direction, product brief, and line plan. This role will work closely with the CEO/Founder and Product Team to create consistent storytelling across the brand. This role will also collaborate cross-functionally with Graphic Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Merchandising on a complete product strategy to meet financial targets. This role will also:

• Takes the lead in assisting in the design and development of innovative, seasonal, replenishment, and special event lines.
• Manage the execution of styles from concept to launch.
• Responsible for the day-to-day design and development of operational tasks to deliver the goals and objectives for overall alignment with the company vision.
• Independently plan and organize allocated workload ensuring all tech-packs are of the highest standard and can be accurately translated by the co-man (co-manufacturer) into the best quality.
• Coordinate daily communication with all suppliers and/or co-mans, inspect key health and safety aspects of the supplier Manual and more.
• Expertly create, when needed, Tech Packs and BOM\xe2\x80\x99s with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Assist in both assessing and appraising each co-man on a regular basis and relaying any applicable information back to Gymreapers leadership team for review.
• Collaborate with the Brand team on new fabric, trim and logo developments.
• Work closely with the Brand team and CEO to deliver quality products, against target margins while maintaining design aesthetics.
• Identify styles that require wear testing, and execute accordingly.
• Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, Design and Product Development teams to create a smooth transition between initial concepts and final products.
• Must have a consumer-focused mindset with an understanding of needs and ability to translate into product design.
• Assist in creating quality control standards for each product as well as evaluating all products to be high-quality and confirm they are to company standards and brand values.
• Work to create and balance identity rules with creative opportunities in order to elevate the brand through visual storytelling.
• Provide unique insight into relevant market trends with a point of view on the commercial viability of styles with a consumer-focused mindset.
• Work cross-functionally across all teams and departments and maintain a professional and positive attitude with both internal and external clients.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

What

• Minimum of 5yrs of relevant design and development experience, athletic apparel a plus
• Strong skill set and knowledge of apparel design, textile properties, sizing, grading, and construction techniques.
• Sound understanding of fabrics
• Excellent garment construction and engineering skills
• Familiarity with product manufacturing processes including materials/fabrics; plastics; pigments
• Knowledge of pattern making an advantage but not essential
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with an awareness of the latest creative software programs, techniques, and applications. Experience with 3D software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of overseas manufacturing, production, and communication.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management systems
• Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify product risk and confidently provide solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication both internally and externally
• Must be results-focused and highly detail-oriented
• Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude with internal and external clients with an openness to new ideas and differing opinions
• Must have strong organizational skills in order to troubleshoot and manage multiple projects
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and deliver projects under tight deadlines
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a great deal of constructive feedback and input
