job summary:
A Product Security Engineer is needed for a multinational aerospace corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and telecommunications equipment in the Huntsville, AL area. This position will develop, implement, and sustain product security, collaborating across teams to ensure resiliency, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.

responsibilities:

• Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach for lifecycle security solutions.

• Identify product asset risks, threats, and vulnerabilities in line with industry standards.

• Collaborate with systems engineers, administrators, software engineers, and others on security activities.

• Assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of product assets and systems.

• Verify system security engineering products using various methods.

• Execute recurring security analysis, design, implementation, and tests.

• Develop comprehensive security assessment reports.

• Perform incremental analysis on complex technical systems.

• Collaborate on design and development strategies for risk mitigation.

• Participate fully in Agile planning and execution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s Degree, Military experience, or equivalent education/work experience.

• DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level II Certificate or higher.

Desired Experience:

• Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, NIST, and DOD standards for RMF.

• Experience with ACAS, eMASS applications and processes, and IBM DOORS.

• Familiarity with various cyber-related compliance standards.

• strong team player with excellent communication skills.

• Confident in a fast-paced environment, capable of multitasking.

Required Education:

• Advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor, PhD, Master) in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

• Typically 5 or more years\' related work experience.

• ABET accreditation preferred for US applicants.
