Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, is working with a global automotive manufacturing organization. Looking for a Production Supervisor within a Aluminum Foundry in Kansas City, KS. This is a 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension.

Job Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Kansas City, KS
Pay: $35-$37 an hour + benefits
Contract: 12 Month Contract, Potential to convert to perm./FTE
Schedule: Rotating every 3 months, 1st Shift (6:30am to 3pm) & 2nd Shift (4pm to 12:30am) + 1 HR OT at end of shift, work 2 to 3 Saturdays each month/Sundays will be as needed for repairs
Work environment is temperature controlled. Union environment. Typical Day:

• Check manpower at start of shift, review issues, address any carry over items with shift meetings
• Primary responsibility is handling escalations from group & responding to quality issues in timely manner
• Monitoring and enforcing quality standards, communicating plant quality metrics
• Promote safe work practices, ergonomics, health, safety, and housekeeping
• Motivate, train, & develop employees, provide team members with adequate JIT (job instruction training)
• Focus: Quality Operations Group
• Purpose: Protecting customer & checking quality of products

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (prefer college education)
• Need 10 years manufacturing experience, not requiring quality experience.
• Decision making, analytical ability, problem solving, well-developed communication
• Knowledge of scheduling, manufacturing processes, quality control standards, & other management systems
