Job Overview:: Under the supervision of the IT Manager of Applications and Integration, this position is responsible for day-to-day support and maintenance of SEARHCs imaging processes and PACS environment. Makes recommendations for advancements within SEARHCs PACS environment, image routing platforms, and client implementations/integrations. Provides support for PACS and related imaging issues. Responsibilities:: Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job
Supports PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, and pre-fetching, and other related activities to include worklist activity and maintenance. Supports regular training cadences for staff on use of the PACS application. Supports radiologist with dictation system and troubleshoots issues therein.
Supports PACS system maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging systems.
Works closely with IT and clinical leadership in the development of operating standards, policies, and procedures for PACS, RIS and Nuance Powerscribe dictation systems.
Reviews feedback from customers, compiles and analyzes support data, and recommends procedural and educational changes as appropriate.
Assists strategic planning for imaging initiatives. Stays abreast of new technologies.
Supports and/or participates in activities with vendors in all phases of support and maintenance of PACS, RIS Powerscribe and VRad Reading service.
Collaborates with IT staff in support and maintenance of PACS, Cerner RIS (RadNet) and HL7 interfaces.
Prepares reports for administration on all aspects of PACS and Powerscribe operations as appropriate or directed.
Maintains systems configuration and workflow, patient and image database, as well as the associated storage systems.
Maintains and prioritizes list of areas for improvement within the imaging environment. Meets with clinical and administrative leadership regularly to coordinate resolution.

Qualifications:: Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
Associates degree in computer science, information management systems or radiology/imaging, image acquisition, workflow in all modalities - required.
Bachelors degree - preferred
Registered in one or more modalities within radiology - required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certified / CT Certification (ARRT) - preferred
Experience Required
3 years in a technical support role in a Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology setting - required
1 year of relevant imaging administration within a PACS and dictation system environment - required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of:
Knowledge of the radiology workflow in various modalities.
Knowledge of medical imaging and related terminology
Skills in:
Broad computer skill set and specialized knowledge in both radiology and IT department
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Using an computer and electronic dental records
Learning new functions and systems
Ability to:
Ability to work independently when necessary.
Ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects.
Ability to work effectively with diverse group of people.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
