Job Description


The Division of Adolescent Medicine is seeking a Program Coordinator to coordinate the Title X Program at the Harriet Lane Clinic at Johns Hopkins. The HLC\'s Title X Programs provides family planning and sexual and reproductive health care as outlined by Title X national clinical guidelines to clients aged 13-25 who are seeking confidential services or are uninsured or underinsured with the goal to reduce unintended pregnancy among patients served under aged 26.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day logistical oversight, coordination, and communication with principal investigator.
  • Work in coordination with Title X director, nurse manager and other key team members to coordinate Title X program at the Harriet Lane Clinic.
  • Provide education to clinicians on Title X Guidelines / resources.
  • Provide direct health education with patients related to Title X clinical guideline that is developmentally and culturally appropriate one-on-one counseling for pregnancy prevention, preconception care; & coordinate with health educators in clinic for family planning referral.
  • Coordinate and educate clinicians\' compliance/completion of Title X forms / data elements for purpose of Title X reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage of Title X/Ahlers database from a clinical and reporting perspective and coordination with EPIC for planned transition to Title X reporting via EPIC.
  • Order and maintain Title X supplies, and inventory review in coordination with Title X Director, Pharmacy, & financial analyst.
  • Coordinate and follow-up for abnormal pap smears and positive STD test results.
  • Coordinate and supervise educational material review with advisory board.
  • Coordinate and administer satisfaction survey (as outlined by DHMH).
  • Coordinate and track patients on birth control (e.g., Depo provera) and follow-up / missed visits.
  • Provide assistance with budget management, site visits, and performance reports at monthly, quarterly and year-end intervals.
  • Ability to coordinate others with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues and other clinic-based staff.
  • Ability to establish rapport with Baltimore inner city residents including youth.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
  • Five years progressively responsible related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MPH or MS in relevant field preferred.
  • Prior experience working with young people in Baltimore and work related to family planning/pregnancy prevention.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Able to handle sensitive information.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Resolves problems that arise and/or effectively communicates them to the direct supervisor.

Starting Salary Range: Min $21.00 - Max $36.50 HRLY ($46,000 budgeted; Commensurate with experience)

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience.
