Together, let\'s advance the world of minimally invasive care.Primary Function of Position:Responsible for acquiring materials, components, and equipment to support new product launches. Obtains quotes, evaluates supplier abilities, and aligns them with project timelines. Monitors orders, deliveries, and inventory. Ensures enough supply for new product production. Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing on supplier strategy for new product release and production scale-up.Establishes material needs from engineering and new product schedules. Maintains inventory as planned. Evaluates supplier reliability and collaborates with Supplier Development Engineering and Strategic Sourcing to find new suppliers. Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of new products. Ensures materials are available on time for production. Key member of a high-performance team.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Uses forecasts and planning techniques to maintain optimal inventory levels for engineering and production needs.
  • Applies experience in new product launching and research purchases to shorten manage times and ensure timely material delivery.
  • Works with engineering to assist suppliers in developing efficient fabrication processes.
  • Identifies second sources for critical components as necessary
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of current systems and processes.
  • Works with Strategic Sourcing to identify and qualify new supplier resources.
  • Identifies supplier capacity issues. Works with Strategic Sourcing to resolve problems. Ensures no impact on project schedules.
  • Creates, updates, and publishes project material cost models.
  • Quickly and proactively, resolves and/or escalates issues related to delivery, supplier performance, quality or cost.
  • Ensures accuracy of reports and orders, such as item master info.\\u00a0 Collaborates with engineering to ensure accurate BOMs for production.
  • Provides direction and/or effectively delegate critical tasks as needed. Be a functional, productive member of a high performance team.
QualificationsSkill/Job Requirements:
  • Must have 10-12 years experience in supply chain management. Specific expertise needed for new product introduction (NPI), R&D, or engineering support..Successful track record of increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum BS in business, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent education/experience.
  • Must have significant computer experience using Windows, Word, Excel (advanced skills preferred) and ERP Information Systems, preferably SAP and Agile.
  • MS Office skills ( MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Charts, and filtering)
  • Experience working with engineers and manufacturing resources for prototype parts procurement, pilot activities and production launch of new products.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, chaotic environments with constant change.\\u00a0 Manage change with speed and grace.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes used by suppliers of mechanical components, like precision machining, sheet metal, and plastic injection molding. Experience with contract manufacturing, OEM, cables, PCBAs, and more.
  • Familiar with project management techniques for new product introduction.
  • ECO implementation experience required.
  • Familiarity with contract and cost negotiation techniques.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Able to communicate at high and detailed levels. Must have diplomacy and composure under pressure.
  • Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to proactively follow-up on areas of responsibility in a timely manner.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Able to read and have a basic understanding of engineering drawings.
