This highly professional position is responsible for assisting with administering and coordinating programs in the office of Title V, Part B. This includes providing technical assistance for program/school improvement, assisting in monitoring school district and state agency programs to facilitate the increase of student achievement, reviewing of project applications/amendments, assisting in the interpretation of appropriate federal/state laws, regulations, policies and procedures as related to students in rural regions. Employee\'s time and effort are assigned to a dedicated function on the monthly payroll.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Assist rural school districts in improving and increasing student academic achievement at all levels for educationally disadvantaged and at-risk students.
  • Assist with coordinating the calculation of allocations and reallocations for Title V, Part B programs across the state.
  • Develop a resource library for Title V, Part B program team with FDOE that includes guidance on federal laws, rules and regulations surrounding the Title V, Part B program.
  • Participate in the development of program goals and objectives for the Bureau; recommend, implement, and administer methods and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of Title V, Part B program processes, as appropriate to achieve the overall mission and vision of the Bureau.
  • Serve as a liaison to assigned LEAs throughout the state on all matters that relate to program implementation and activities.
  • Assist in providing training to ensure LEAs comply with requirements of the Title V, Part B program as prescribed under the ESSA as well as assisting the district with meeting performance outcomes that increase student achievement.
  • Assist with reviewing the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data; develop, write, edit, and present comprehensive statistical and narrative program reports and evaluations.
  • Coordinate and support the review of program applications and amendments by the timeline established by the Department.
  • Assist with conducting program-monitoring activities to ensure LEAs comply with provisions of ESSA and meet FDOE expectations.
  • Provide ongoing, timely technical assistance and support to LEAs to ensure compliance with all ESSA program requirements.
  • Assist LEAs with day-to-day problem solving, regarding program-related needs and issues.
  • Coordinate with other programs to improve teaching and learning for students attending schools in rural school districts.
  • Participate in staff/professional development training and workshops.
  • Assist with creating high-quality training materials and resources that relate to program activities and implementation.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support the mission and function of the Bureau.
  • Editor/Proofreader for the BFEP (e.g., Technical Assistance Papers (TAPs), Resources/Tools: checklists, handbooks, manuals, guides, templates).
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.
  • Work closely with the Director of Title I programs by meeting and communicating regularly coordinating projects.
  • Collaborate on an ongoing basis with all Directors in the Bureau of Federal Educational Programs
  • Maintain working relationships with all offices within the FDOE to ensure tasks are accomplished in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assists in providing technical assistance to districts related to monitoring requirements.
  • Assists in providing technical assistance to subgrantees related to the implementation of assigned federal and state education programs.
  • Working hours: (A) Daily from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. (B) Total hours in workweek 40.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor\'s Degree and 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
