BAE Systems is seeking a motivated, self-driven, Project Manager/Tech Writer for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). We are specifically looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Tech Writer to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for our aerospace engineering team working on ICBM projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of aerospace engineering concepts.This role will be working directly with and providing leadership to experienced software development team, the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), in evolving an environment that aligns with DevSecOps and GitOps principles towards CI/CD, rapidly deploying web applications into various cloud platforms with a security mindset.Job DetailsThis Project Manager position will support the DTO, responsible for supporting the development of next generation modeling and simulation software in support of the entire ICBM enterprise and an array of other software projects. You will be responsible to develop, write, and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, system documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures. You will help drive a uniform technical and management approach that leverages advanced technologies to meet the requirements of stakeholders. This position will collaborate with engineers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation. You will translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content; review and edit documentation created by other team members for clarity, consistency, and accuracy; ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines; manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; maintain version control and document management systems.The position is being filled as a part of the Future ICBM Sustainment and Acquisition Construct (FISAC) under which BAE Systems augments organic government resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs.
