• Review customer RFQ\'s
• Document all requirements from RFQ.
• Work with engineering leaders to develop quote strategy for projects.
• Create Bill of Materials to satisfy RFQ.
• Create worksheet to document requirements covered by standard products and requirements needing new or modified products.
• Conceptualize any new required products to satisfy quote requirements.
• Develop initial engineering quote for project based upon all inputs/outputs.
• Attend or run regular meetings with customers and suppliers to review progress, issues, and deliverables.
• Prepare and present status reports with internal leadership.
• Collaborate and co-ordinate with other departments such as manufacturing, accounting, prototype fabrication, testing, quality control, and/or procurement.
• Identify inefficiencies/suggest improvements in product design, fabrication, and implementation process.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
• Advanced quoting experience.
• Ability to execute logical reasoning and decision-making.
• Basic understanding of metal and plastic component manufacturing processes, as well as metal joining processes.
• Proficient in related computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, 3D CAD viewing.

Preferred Skills/Abilities

• Detailed knowledge of automotive seating manufacturing processes.
• Seat structure and/or mechanism product launch experience.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• Five or more years of automotive seat structure product development engineering experience.
• Advanced quoting experience.
