Job Description

Global leader in the design and manufacturing of pressure switches, transducers, and bellows & bellows assemblies with facilities in New Jersey, Virginia, and China, is seeking an experienced, self-starter, and energetic machinist to join the new product development team at New Jersey facility.
Successful candidates applying for this position must have extensive experience using manual lathes (with digital readouts), X-Y CNC milling machines, grinding, drilling, and belt sanding equipment, among others. The selected individual will use his/her extensive experience, knowledge, creativity, and sound judgment to machine/fabricate components and assemblies to support engineering during new product development, prototype, and pilot production.
Key Responsibilities

• \xe2\x80\xa2 Turning and milling of components for prototypes, proof-of-concepts, fixtures, and tools
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist manufacturing and design engineers in optimizing designs for machining operations
• \xe2\x80\xa2 proactively review drawings and procure the necessary tools and gauges prior to the start of each job
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Organize and maintain a safe and clean machine shop using 6S methodology

• \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrates mastery in machine practices and methodologies to fabricate components, tools, fixtures, etc.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 15+ years of experience working in a prototype machine shop and fast-pace environment
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated creativity, knowhow, sound judgment, and experience in resolving machining problems.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to plan and proactively ensure gauges, tools, and materials are ordered and delivered by the time the jobs are ready to commence.
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work per priority schedules and adapt to changing priorities
• \xe2\x80\xa2 CNC programming a plus
• \xe2\x80\xa2 Willingness to learn CNC programming
