The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mahanoy is seeking a highly motivated Psychological Services Associate to join our psychology department. Working under the direct clinical supervision of a Licensed Psychologist Manager, you will utilize your skills in mental health care to address inmates\' mental and emotional needs. Apply today to help us provide individualized treatment and create positive change!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Psychological Services Associate, you will assist the Licensed Psychologist Manager in planning and organizing outpatient mental health and psychological services, including the development and delivery of patients\' treatment plans. A key responsibility of this position will be conducting both individual and group treatment for a variety of individuals, including inmates diagnosed with mental illnesses or convicted of sex offenses. You will need to conduct mental status examinations and prepare psychological assessments. You may also have the opportunity to administer psychological tests and intelligence tests.Interested in learning more?   • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
  • Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $61,903.00 (before taxes).
  • Additional pay will be considered for those who currently possess or obtain licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, or Professional Counselor issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Counselors. Documentation will need to be provided at interview to receive additional pay consideration.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • A Master\'s degree in psychology or a closely related field, which includes fifteen graduate level credits in psychology, counseling, educational counseling, rehabilitation, human development, learning, or motivation.
