Jump start your career in the mental health field as a Psychosocial Educator. Work within a team environment to provide clinical psychoeducation to eligible program participants. In the world of Social Work, Psychosocial Educators do not support academic skills, but rather the social. Emotional and executive functioning needs of individuals and families struggling with mental illnesses.

If you have a Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 degree in social work, psychology or related field and you are passionate about making a difference with those who are coping with mental health issues, we need you!

You will become a trusted resource for your clients, offering connection and education about how recovery works best when we address the whole person. You will enjoy the flexibility of working in a variety of program activities while using the uniqueness of our program objections to improve lives and make positive changes in others. As an educator you will gain clinical knowledge and experience that is rarely available to new graduates or those who wish to expand their career experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a caseload of program participants to include completing program assessments, maintaining progress notes, and care plans in the stated timeframes.
  • Attend bi-weekly clinical supervision meetings with clinical supervisor and maintain credentialing status for employment.
  • Ability to facilitate and co-facilitate psychosocial groups and activities with program participants.
  • Documentation to be completed according to standards and agency policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate consistently the ability to relate to clients in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Use behavioral health management and assessment techniques, crisis intervention, active listening and motivational interviewing to help clients develop better life management skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 degree in social work, psychology or relate field

Entry Pay Range: $15.86--$19.78
