Job Description

As Manufacturing Quality Assurance Supervisor, you lead by example and guide your team to ensure production of the highest quality products for our customers. You and your team of Quality Assurance Engineers and technicians play an integral role in assuring compliance with Plastipak standards by monitoring, recording and reporting key data on product and processes.

You Will

Coordinate team daily activities & ongoing training for your team of Quality Assurance Engineers and technicians

Compile and analyze data to verify products conform to specifications and quality standards pertaining to appearance, packaging, and decoration.

Proficiently record and maintain computer and hand written records of quality data

Complete destructive and non-destructive testing

Complete sampling of bottle components

Reject or accept production according to quality of samples and ensure correct scrap recovery procedures are executed

Monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO, and safety standards

Communicate and partner with customers to eliminate defects and reach resolution of concerns

Lead the team through new product or line qualifications

You Have

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Science or mechanical engineering preferred

Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience in a manufacturing setting.

2 years minimum of experience with direct report supervision

Experience within an ISO-certified environment

Ability to use basic statistical problem-solving methods

A passion for continuous improvement

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work the following schedule: M-F 1st shift (7-4pm) with flexibility as problems or qualifications arise.

Ability to travel 10%-20% of time.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation
