Job Summary

Develops and manages activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes and materials by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

• Develops and maintains control plans for the inspection, testing, and evaluation of product.
• Administers the disposition and maintenance of discrepant materials including the generation of repair shop orders and the identification of appropriate methods for evaluation and/or testing.
• Evaluates incoming material, heat treat, and plating certifications for conformance to applicable specifications and maintains necessary certification records in the company business/ERP system.
• Conducts routine calibration of gages and measuring instruments according to the established calibration schedule.
• Maintains applicable quality related documents in the company business/ERP system.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Perform work under direct supervision
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
• Typically requires 3 to 5 years of experience

• Advanced use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments
