The Quality Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 PCBA Line will be responsible to develop, manage, and continuously improve processes and databases for product compliance requirements on sourced components and products, meeting customer specifications, compliant to regulatory directives and the Quality Management System.

The Quality Engineer will use their knowledge of surface mount technology and process inspection to support the Quality department and the production team to implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Quality management System.
• Prepare quality report by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data from manufacturing, testing, and process.
• Training production team in best practices and quality inspection techniques
• Work with The Quality team to implement ISO9001,
• Drive internal and external customer corrective actions
• Monitor equipment hardware performance for opportunities to improve, including calibrations of machinery.
• Interact with design, production, and quality teams on process improvements.

• Work in a team environment, open to cross training and flexibility in daily work schedules.

Qualifications:

• BS/AS in engineering or technical discipline with 2+ years in Quality manufacturing to ISO 9001 standards or minimum 5 years experience in the printed circuit / assembly industry
• Analytical & Statistical creation and Reporting, an asset
• Working knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-610 class 2 requirements), asset
• Certification in Quality Engineering Auditing experience or certification to ISO 9001, an asset
• Certification in Quality Engineering, an asset
• Quality manufacturing support experience at the Assembly & PCB level, an asset
• Certified Internal Auditor, an asset.
• Ability to train and develop the production team in best practice and quality inspection technique.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel and Word, PowerPoint, Minitab.
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
