Job Description

Primary Purpose:Ensure product quality meets both internal and external customer expectations. Work effectively with Muscle Shoals and Bowling Green Quality and Technical teams to resolve and improve ABS quality and recovery. Act as a liaison to the manufacturing team, overseeing the effective use of problem solving, driving the need for Continuous Improvement and consistently evaluating production outputs against defined targets. Act as the guardian for coil product quality delivered to Bowling Green. Implement improvements in the tools and methods used between manufacturing units and coil processors to improve communication and problem solving.Responsibilities:

• Review and disposition using SAP.
• Facilitate and improve communication and disposition of held coils between Bowling Green, Muscle Shoals and outside coil processors.
• Regularly pareto and trend ABS defect and recovery data in order to identify key improvement activities.
• Become a subject matter expert on ABS mill surface defects in order to support training and coaching of APU Quality and Process teams.
• Assist with APU claim analysis and root cause analysis.
• Effectively collaborate with the automotive technical support group.
• Maintain open dialog with Bowling Green and other customer sites by regular visits.
• Review process data as needed using Optimize.
• Create inspection plans.

Qualifications:

• High school education with equivalent practical experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in a hot and/or cold rolling mill
• Must have the flexibility travel to Constellium-Bowling Green Kentucky approximately 10-20% of the time
• Strong aptitude for learning to use various software systems.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control
• Must be able to transfer technical information into layman\'s terms for effective understanding.
• Standard writing to include company correspondences and training documentation.
• Must be capable to facilitate and lead meetings to accomplish a positive and effective outcome.
• Ability to work with a broad cross section of people from top managers, production work force and internal and external customers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and establish appropriate priority.
• Good problem solving skills required to assess customer equipment/product performance issues.
• General understanding of MS-Office Products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
