Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and a strong understanding of ranch operations. This role involves a variety of tasks related to animal care, equipment maintenance, and general ranch upkeep. The Ranch Hand will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of livestock while maintaining the efficiency of ranch operations.

Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring their health. Assist in the handling and movement of livestock as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal enclosures and facilities. Operate and maintain farm machinery and heavy equipment safely. Utilize power tools for various maintenance tasks around the ranch. Implement animal husbandry practices to promote optimal health and productivity. Supervise other staff or volunteers during specific tasks or projects. Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety. Assist with breeding programs and care for animals as required.

Experience

Previous experience in animal handling or care is highly desirable. Familiarity with farm machinery, power tools, and mechanical knowledge is preferred. Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus. Experience with gardening techniques and planning. Knowledge of Camalot and Bovidae care and management is beneficial. Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A background in supervising staff or volunteers can enhance candidacy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
