Part Time and Full Time, hourly, non-exempt

Roots Market is seeking Receiving Leads for our Clarksville & Olney locations. Receiving Leads will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere. Assisting customers by accurately processing deliveries and providing prompt, friendly, and helpful customer service will be the keys to success and growth within the company. This position is perfect for those individuals who are organized, passionate about food and outgoing. Applicants must have a passion for green living and a strong knowledge of natural and organic foods.

Qualifications:

The ideal person for this role must be passionate about giving superior customer service and very detail oriented. This opportunity is perfect for people who like to be hands-on, possess a great attention to detail, and can multitask in a fast-paced work environment. You must be available to work a mixture of morning and evening shifts including one weekend shift and lift 50lbs. Must be at least 18 years of age to work in the Olney location. High School education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully be trained as a backup cashier and previous Receiving Experience preferred. Essential duties and responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

Providing world class guest service at all times. Leading the process of efficiently and accurately receiving, checking in, and entering into the system all orders. Creating transfers and splits with incoming or existing stock/items Taking ownership of the storage room and ensuring that organization, labeling, efficiency, sanitation, and safety guidelines are being followed. Help maintain inventory accuracy by performing weekly out of stock scans, processing shrink, and credits. Lead process of cutting in new items: ensures that all new items have an effective shelf location on the salesfloor within five days of arrival. Communicating in a professional and timely manner with the buying, data, and store leadership teams. Maintaining the special order system and communicates promptly with guests and the buying team to facilitate the process. In the absence of department leader, gives direction to Grocery team members to ensure top priorities are being addressed. Stocking items as assigned. Merchandising and creating displays to maximize sales Maintaining a pleasant helpful relationship with customers and co-workers
