The Sarpy County Court in Papillion, NE is taking applications for one full time Records Clerk/Cashier position in our Probate Division. This is an entry level clerical position.
HIRING RATE (during probationary period): $2,776.05 per month
MINIMUM PERMANENT RATE (after probationary period): $2,845.46 per month

Examples of Work
Work involves performing a variety of clerical functions associated with probate, guardianships, conservatorships, adoptions, estates, and other similar court roles. Probate is a separate and distinct Division within Sarpy County Court, outside of Criminal/Traffic and Civil/Small Claims. Tasks include responding to routine inquiries, typing and computer functions under the supervision of the Probate Division Manager. Data entry and attention to detail is paramount.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: High school graduation or equivalent plus two years of experience in an office setting. Higher education may be substituted for work experience on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED: The ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required. At least one year of court/law office experience or experience in processing and/or accounting for cash payments.
OTHER: Successful completion of "on the job training" in JUSTICE (the statewide computer system) will be required within six months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requirements include typing skills, computer and data entry skills and ability to follow instructions. Knowledge of probate matters, good telephone manners and strong customer service skills are required.
