Nationwide, KIPP students complete four-year college at a rate of 36 percent, comparable to the national average for all students and approximately three times higher than the average of students from low-income communities.

The Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Houston Regional Superintendent, the Regional Deputy Superintendent of Schools (DSOS) will be involved in supporting the day-to-day KIPP Texas- Houston schools\' academic performance and functions that lead to the overall success of supporting further growth in the region-the Regional DSOS will partner with the Regional Superintendent and organizational leaders to improve results and execute KIPP Texas-Houston next growth plan. The Regional DSOS will assist the Regional Superintendent in providing leadership in the development of best-in-class curriculum instruction and evaluation programs. The Regional DSOS will lead sustainable schools capable of producing consistent, lasting, and high-quality results for all students. The Regional DSOS serves in both a leadership and management role and is responsible for managing and leading the members of their Regional School Management Teams (SMTs) in its strategic priorities, decisions, and work. The Regional DSOS must ensure the Regional SMT strategic work maximizes its value to the Team and Family and is aligned with the KIPP Texas- Houston vision, mission, and core values.
