General Description:
The Regional Educator Network Coordinator leads the Northwest Regional Educator Network (NREN) which supports approximately 6,000 educators in 20 school districts across four counties.
The Regional Educator Network Coordinator is an anti-racist leader responsible for program vision, standards, monitoring, accountability, and reporting within the mission and vision of the NWRESD and the Educator Advancement Council (EAC). As a program leader within the Instructional Services Department, the Coordinator will ensure high levels of collaboration amongst and between department programs, effectively communicate with staff, family, community and school district partners, and ensure program resources and improvement efforts are aligned to meet the commitments established in the Board-adopted Strategic Plan and laid out by the Educator Advancement Council.
The Coordinator will ensure NREN program alignment with the Educator Advancement Council (EAC), including but not limited to: coordinating access to professional learning, coaching and support to districts for improving systems, culture and climate, educator growth and preparation, high quality professional learning, and flexible school systems in order to reduce disproportionality, disparities, and predictability within student outcomes across Clatsop, Columiba, Tillamook, and Washington Counties. 1. Bachelor\'s Degree in teaching, education, instruction, leadership or related field; or combination of education and/ or equivalent training and/or professional experience in education, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 3 years working in educational equity-focused work in schools, districts, or education service districts 3. Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams or boards, and implementing large-scale projects, preferred 4. Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, or alternate ability to travel throughout the four county region to participate in training and meet with school teams, students, community partners, and others
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 1. Knowledge of best practices in reducing disproportionality, disparities, and predictability in student outcomes through work focused on supporting racially, linguistically and economically diverse students and educators. 2. Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret different types of data, and to use information to compose clear, coherent reports and present them to varied stakeholders. 3. Experience in building the capacity of teams with the ability to collaborate and build work groups into highly effective, cohesive teams. 4. Experience facilitating, and leading in communities that are racially, linguistically and economically diverse. 5. Knowledge of current and emerging practices for effective adult learning. 6. The skills and capacities to collaboratively plan and deliver outstanding professional 7. learning. 8. Knowledge of project management, including program design, implementation, and evaluation. 9. Must possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to express complex ideas with clarity and precision both orally and in writing. 10. Strong technical skills including use of presentation software, word processing and the ability to learn to use technology to innovate and increase efficiency. 11. Ability to work with minimal supervision, communicate clearly, and prioritize and manage multiple projects. 12. Requires travel to schools, school districts, in and out of region, sometimes outside of the normal school day, including overnight stays.
Essential Functions: Include the following. Performs some or all of the following tasks. Other Duties may be assigned. The duties listed below are not inclusive, but characteristic of the type and level of work assigned for this position.
A. Utilize research-based best practices to implement professional learning, support systems, and other strategies for school districts, educators, and students to reduce disproportionality, disparities, and predictability for students. B. Coordination of team processes to ensure alignment with Northwest Regional ESD Strategic Plan, the Educator Advancement Council, and districts\xe2\x80\x99 Integrated Guidance Plans C. Development and facilitation of team meeting agendas D. Decision-making in consultation with the Director of Instruction About program vision, planning, implementation, and accountability. E. Facilitation of deliverable collections and reporting (district data sets) for ESD/state submissions and other partners F. Serve as Liaison between Northwest Regional ESD and Oregon Department of Education, the Educator Advancement Council, school districts, and other community partners G. Action Planning with the Director of Instruction in alignment with Northwest Regional ESD\xe2\x80\x99s strategic plan. H. Responsible for presentations to superintendents, board, Curriculum and Instruction Directors and other partners in collaboration with the Director of Instruction. I. Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual summative data to support regional decision making regarding NREN programming and co-create progress reports on the success, learnings, improvements, and areas for support at the end of each grant cycle. J. Coordinate and collaborate with 20 districts in Columbia, Clatsop, Tillamook, and Washington counties to provide professional learning, coaching and support. K. Recruit and facilitate a governance team made up of administrators, classified staff, classroom educators, community partners, early learning providers, higher education representatives, nonprofit leaders, superintendents, and other educational partners. L. Act as a liaison between EAC (Educator Advancement Council), NWRESD, district partners and the NREN program as it relates to the implementation, progress, and evaluation of program-identified goals. M. Practice and promote antiracist and liberatory mindsets centering the lived experiences of historically excluded students and families in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook, and Washington counties, in alignment with the Oregon Department of Education\xe2\x80\x99s Equity Lens and Equity Initiatives. N. Monitor budgets, pull budget reports, review budgets on a regular basis. O. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
