Job Summary
A radiology nurse is involved with the assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures. The Radiology nurse works closely with the assigned radiologist and technologists to provide direct care to patients of all ages, before, during, and after radiology procedures and imaging. The radiology nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and responsible for administering medications, monitoring moderate sedation, and providing post procedure education.
