Responsibilities
The RN-House Supervisor provides administrative decision making 24/7 for coordination of patient flow, patient placement, and other patient services through collaboration with administrative/supervisory staff, physicians, charge nurses and ancillary support staff across all hospital patient care departments. The RN-House Supervisor provides administrative and nursing leadership for staff involved in the provision of patient care services during evening, night, weekend, and holiday hours. As the on-site administrative/nursing leadership representative, the RN-House Supervisor provides direction and guidance for hospital staff interpretation/application of policies and procedures, problem solving, utilization and assignment of nursing resources, response to patient/family complaints/concerns and initiation of emergency preparedness plans for emergency situations.
Qualifications
Graduate of a nursing program. All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date of April 1, 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date. All entry-level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date prior to April 1, 2020 must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing program as stipulated by the degree requirement program in place at time of hire.
Preferred qualifications:
3 years clinical experience. Previous leadership experience.
Licensure/Certification Required:
Active Wisconsin RN license or ability to practice professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin. Current BLS Certification.
