Responsibilities

Assumes the responsibility and accountability for providing safe and competent direct/indirect nursing care for Medical /Surgical patients (focus on Orthopedics) within a 22 bed unit in accordance with Manatee Memorial Hospital policies, standards and philosophy. Ability to integrate nursing theory into practice using nursing process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. Ability to plan and organize work. Ability to work independently and in teams. Demonstrates Services Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Job Information:

• Accepting new grad RNs
• $3/hour bedside differential for bedside RNs
• Eligible for sign on bonus: $5000 for RNs with less than 18 months experience; $10,000 for RNs with more than 18 months experience

Qualifications

Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing

BLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment)

Current RN licensure in Florida

ACLS (or obtained within 90 days of employment)
