Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Emergency Department Patient Experience Coordinator serves as a patient advocate in the Emergency Department. The ED Patient Experience Coordinator will effectively implement, monitor, and educate on specific tactics directed at enhancing the patient experience. The quality of service given will adhere to the philosophy and objectives of the hospital.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
- Associates Degree required (if enrolled in BSN program)
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing required or actively enrolled in BSN program required
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 90-days of hire
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification within 90-days of hire
- CPI within 90 days of hire required
- State of Georgia RN License or an Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) required
- Three (3) or more years hospital/acute care experience. Emergency medicine experience preferred
- Proven clinical & leadership experience preferred.
