*12 weeks internal assignments supporting all 5 HSHS Southern IL Ministries (Inpatient Med Surg, Cardiac Telemetry, ICU - Critical Care, Emergency Department):

• HSHS St Joseph, Highland
• HSHS St Joseph, Breese
• HSHS St Elizabeth\'s , O\'Fallon
• HSHS St Anthony Memorial, Effingham
• HSHS Holy Family, Greenville

*Full-time, 36 hrs/week (3 x 12), night shift, 12; 2 weekend shifts every 4 week schedule

*+$20/hr float differential

The Registered Nurse (RN)-Regional Float is designated to float to ministries/units across a region (multiple ministries) within the state. Will float to specialty area(s) based on RN competency level. Completes appropriate competency and cross-training required to float to designated units. Promotes and restores patients\' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and supervising assigned team members. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, making or recommending necessary adjustments, and following nursing philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Float may be assigned to units/ministries reflecting lower level patient acuity based on needs of the organization. Qualifications:

Education

Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nursing is preferred.

Experience

2 year of relevant clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in specialty area is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Certification in area of specialty is preferred but, in some cases, may be required to float.
