JOB DUTIES:
\xc2\x95The primary responsibility of the Respiratory Therapist is to evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders
\xc2\x95Provide respiratory care to patients per physician orders and established policies and procedures
\xc2\x95Participate in the development and/or implementation of patient care plans
\xc2\x95Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines
\xc2\x95Maintain and promote good customer relations; communicate with management, coworkers, facility staff, patients, patients\' family members, and other caretakers in a professional manner
\xc2\x95Provide instruction to patients and other caretakers in the methods and objectives of therapy
\xc2\x95Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly

\xc2\x95Current License as Respiratory Therapist by the Maine Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners or ability to obtain at hire is required
\xc2\x95Current RRT cert through NBRC is required
