Position Description
The Rehabilitation Aide provides safe and appropriate basic patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist. As a member of the rehabilitation team, the Rehabilitation Aide supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi-skilled basic patient care services.
The Rehabilitation Aide provides support and assistance to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as (but not limited to): mobility, ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), movement and ambulation, and positioning. In addition, they may provide support to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as therapeutic exercise programs, group exercise programs, mobility volunteer aide program, and swallowing studies.
This role contributes to the successful operation of the work area, and functions in accordance with all existing regulatory and company standards, policies and procedures.
