Job Description


: This is a multipurpose position in which duties range from carrying out basic patient care tasks as directed by a licensed therapist to overseeing a variety of operational activities for the department.ScopeAs a Rehab Coordinator you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:
Performs monthly billing/reconciliation for outside service contracts.
Coordinates scheduling pre-employment physicals (outside contracts).
Assists with taking minutes at all departmental/service line meetings.
Coordinates, with director and supervisor, all community benefit performed by department and service line.
Greets patients and visitors, answers questions, and provides assistance to patients with regard to intake information, scheduling, billing, etc.
Transcribes and processes various patient reports, memos, letters, policies and procedures and various statistical reports.
Provides proper filing of departmental records.
Performs computer order entry and charge entry.
Orders and maintains departmental supplies- Faxes/mails reports and information in a timely and accurate fashion to physician's or payers offices upon request.
On a daily basis, reviews, prioritizes and schedules new orders by coordinating therapists and assistants schedules for both in-patient/out-patient providers for patient overflow, triggers, pre-ops and new orders.
Photocopies prescriptions and treatment records upon request.
Prepares and organizes patient charts daily.
Screens sales personnel before allowing them to enter department director's/supervisors office.
Maintains and supplies departmental fax machine and printer.
Performs daily chargers and monthly close-outs.
Tracks Medicare Therapy cap- Picks-up and distributes departmental mail.
Prepares in-patient schedule daily.
