Rehabilitation Aide - Pediatrics - Full-Time Position - Day Shift

NYP is dedicated to the highest level of rehabilitation care. Among our many world-class services we provide outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, which helps patients achieve functional independence so they can effectively re-integrate within the community. This requires the support of professionals from many different healthcare disciplines and specialties.

As a Rehabilitation Aide, take part in the continuum of patient care in our dynamic acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Assist in maintaining therapy areas by obtaining rehabilitation equipment, maintaining inventory of supplies and restocking medical linen and supplies. May provide transport of patients as needed. Under the supervision of a rehabilitation therapist, assist with the care of patients of all ages and diagnoses. Candidates for the position should have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable interacting with patients.

Preferred Criteria

• Six months hospital experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• Demonstrated interest in working with Rehabilitation Medicine patients
• Knowledge of policies and procedures of Rehabilitation Medicine Department
• Knowledge of equipment and supplies required by Rehabilitation Medicine Department
