job summary:
A Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health Engineer is needed for a multinational aerospace corporation that designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rotorcraft, rockets, satellites, and telecommunications equipment in the Huntsville, AL (hybrid) area. This position will be supporting innovative aerospace technology, specializing in Failure Reporting, Risk Mitigation, and Collaboration for advanced missile systems.

responsibilities:

• Enhance and maintain an existing Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) database using Windchill Risk & Reliability software.

• Become an authority on the FRACAS database and its data.

• Compile weekly FRACAS reports using Microsoft Access and Outlook.

• Engage in regular Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including Government customers.

• Apply MIL-HDBK-217 or similar methodologies to predict and allocate failure rates.

• Utilize MIL-STD-1629 or similar methodologies to perform Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) for risk identification and mitigation, supporting design changes.

• Review supplier submissions from an RM&SH perspective.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor\'s degree or higher in engineering.

• Possess 5 or more years of relevant work experience or a blend of technical education and experience.

• Eligibility to secure a DoD Secret clearance.
