SUMMARY

Provides clinical and coordination skills in carrying out various clinical research projects

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Research Projects:

  • Assists principal investigators with scientific research projects focused on gastrointestinal cancers and/or endoscopy
  • Reads literature and confers with principal investigators regarding new research methods and modifies them according to the needs of the project
  • Functions, under supervision, in the design and initiation of research projects
  • Assists in training and research work activity for assigned project and research personnel
  • Submits project results to principal investigators
Compliance/Regulatory Coordination:
  • Maintain all regulatory documents for all research projects
  • Respond to compliance-related queries as needed.
Publications:
  • Utilizes technical writing ability to assist in the composition of abstracts, manuscripts, research projects, reports and other medical/scientific correspondence under the direction of study investigators
  • Editing and/or writing sections of protocols, grants and reports as directed by study investigators
  • Reviewing manuscripts before submission to publishing companies

Talks to customers (internal and external) with a pleasant tone to find out what they need and how satisfied they are with the service. Remains in control of own reactions and responds in a manner that demonstrates appropriate nonverbal cues and complements the customer\'s emotions in the situation. Recognizes when its is necessary to escalate situations to leadership to ensure customer satisfaction.
