The and (the UVA Center to Promote Effective Youth Development) in the at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for a full-time Research Coordinator. The incumbent will become part of a vibrant team of faculty, students, and staff conducting research on two projects: 1) CATALYZE is a unique study that seeks to boost students\xe2\x80\x99 social and emotional learning by introducing specific skills to help teachers manage stress and improve their teaching effectiveness, and 2) E-IMPACTS is a project focusing on supporting the implementation of evidence-informed mental health prevention, assessment, collaboration, and treatment services in middle schools.
Role and Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7Support the project staff by facilitating project logistics such as scheduling meetings, reserving conference rooms, and conducting conference calls.
\xc2\xb7Take minutes and action items during meetings and perform basic follow-up.
\xc2\xb7Assist with coordinating reports and preparing materials for presentations.
\xc2\xb7Assist with recruiting and onboarding research participants.
\xc2\xb7Assist with project communications as well as with developing and maintaining relationships with university and community partners.
\xc2\xb7Assist with data entry, collection, cleaning, and archiving.
\xc2\xb7Prepare basic analyses of information and data.
\xc2\xb7Maintain website information related to projects as needed.
\xc2\xb7In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
\xc2\xb7Education: Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree
\xc2\xb7Experience: 1 year of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Preferred Skills:
Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
Experience: One year of experience in education or research settings relating to social emotional learning and school mental health. Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree will be considered as experience in the field. Prior experience supporting educational research projects including onboarding research participants, supporting data collection and data cleaning, preparing reports and materials to disseminate research findings.
Physical Demands
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job may occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
