Department OverviewThe OHSU Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) Bone Marrow Transplant Registry directly supports the OHSU Bone Marrow Transplant clinical program by meeting data reporting obligations to the Center for International Blood and Marrow Research (CIBMTR) as part of the Stem Cell Therapeutic Outcomes Database (SCTOD), and to the Northwest Marrow Transplant Program (NWMTP).Function/Duties of PositionThe Bone Marrow Transplant Registry Coordinator 1 is responsible for the identification, preparation and submission of hematopoietic stem cell transplant-related data gathered from medical chart review from referring providers, querying of program physicians, and OHSU electronic medical records. The Registry Coordinator assists with internal audits of data to ensure accuracy and completeness of data submissions. The Registry Coordinator may assist with data analyses and transplant research-related activities.Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or AA plus 3 years experience
  • If AA degree only: 3 years previous experience with medical terminology, research and/or data management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time
  • Must have excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while being collaborative in resolving problems.
  • Must be proficient with computers running Windows and PC applications e.g. MS Excel, Oracle, Access, Word and PowerPoint). Typing 60wpm
  • Must have demonstrated excellent customer service skills both on the phone and in person.
  • Must possess energy and drive to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree with coursework in Science
  • Working knowledge of oncology/ stem cell transplant medical terminology. Managing and entering data in Access database, Excel or similar applications
