Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Sales Coordinator to join our team at The Westin Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Responsibilities

• Take reservations via the telephone, mailed correspondence, rooming lists, and in-house requests. Enter the information into the Property Management System (PMS).
• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide guests with the requested information concerning the city, the hotel, and its services.
• Obtain the necessary information from the guests and enter it into the PMS computer system.
• Must be effective in sales and upselling.
• Process all incoming reservations.
• Manage all interfaces relating to the CI/TY Sales System.
• Ensure accuracy of future/historical data (group related) in CI/TY Sales System.
• Block reservations for suites and to accommodate special requests.
• Coordinate group room blocks with Sales department.
• Input and accurately file all reservations received.
• Post advance deposits to correct accounts.
• Review hotel information and availability.
• Run confirmations and mail as assigned.
• Assist the Front Office with pre-registration of V.I.P.s and Preferred accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management or Hotel Management preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in Front Desk, Guest Relations or Sales in a lodging property preferred
• Experience at a full-service hotel or property preferred.
• Must be extremely detail oriented.
• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Must be computer-literate
• Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
