Overview:Resident Care Assistant- 3rd ShiftMount Alverna Village-Parma OhioPart Time or Full TimeBase Rates start at $16/hr and increase based upon years of experience.$$Shift Differential Premiums for 2nd and 3rd shift as well as weekend differentials!$$Ancora Memory Support at Mount Alverna Village is hiring a Resident Care Assistant (RCA) who will be assisting the needs of our residents through a person-centered approach. At Ancora, we are at the forefront of providing specialized, person-centered dementia care. This Assisted Living community itself was designed to impact the overall well-being and quality of life for residents. It provides maximum comfort, functionality and safety within a reduced-stress environment while offering sensory stimulation. Ancora Memory Support is 0part of Mount Alverna Village, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.We are currently looking for Resident Care Assistant\'s (RCA\'s) to join our growing team!Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows the resident\xe2\x80\x99s service plan in providing services and care to residents.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene and mobility.
• Assists in preparing residents for meals, serving meals, bussing tables during mealtimes and cleaning the dining room. Assists in meal or snack preparation as deemed appropriate.
• Assists resident with personal laundry.
• Encourages and/or reminds residents to participate in activities of interest to them. Promotes activities enthusiastically to peak resident\xe2\x80\x99s interest.
• Provides one-on-one support/visitation to residents.
• Responds to resident calls and emergencies; provides first-aid assistance and arranges for appropriate medical attention.

Required skills and qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must enjoy working with the senior population
• Must have excellent attendance
• Experience with dementia population preferred
