Overview:
Provide effective management and allocation of resources to ensure successful completion and execution at Renewable Services (RS) project sites. This position will partner with the RS Commercial, Project Management, and Field Operations leadership team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards by assisting in the management of personnel, equipment, materials etc.
Responsibilities:
Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
Work closely with Renewable Services (RS) Commercial and Operations leadership to allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, considering priorities, deadlines, and budget constraints
Ensure field safety initiatives are rolled out for all field teams and assist in leading the safety initiatives
Implement and conduct regular safety reviews and observations of work performed and support safety lead at each site when incidents arise or as training is rolled out
Proactively address resource shortages and implement solutions to ensure project timelines are met
Assist in ensuring that field personnel are following and/or are in compliance with all field policies and procedures; including appropriate utilization of Company Vehicles; charging time to a job including standby time; Fuel Expenses for company vehicle; utilization of a T&L Card (where appropriate), etc.
Develop and maintain resource forecasts for upcoming projects by managing the supply and demand needs across the Services business lines to maximize utilization and minimize technicians "on the bench"
Work with Field Operations Manager and Lead Techs in evaluating and executing training needs while accurately tracking certifications for compliance and career progression
Collaborate with field trainer(s) to schedule technicians for required training whether on the job, or third part classroom training
Support Project Management with Lesson's Learned reviews, providing feedback to the field teams to drive continuous improvement ensuring high levels of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Coordinate with Field Tech's to optimize rotations/time off to ensure uninterrupted execution across active projects
Include the coordination and communication of 3rd party staffing plans in all project and labor planning reports
Provide reports to RS Operation leadership showing where project and resource gaps exist or where demand exceeds supply and provide suggestions for closing those gaps
Identify the need for and support the hiring of new staff to support project execution plans and goals
Develop, manage, and lead the report out of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project staffing needs and plans
Actively participate in strategic hiring initiatives and assist with conducting new hire orientation
Assist and partner with HR in resolving employee related challenges and implementing corrective actions
Approve any Travel and Living Expenses outside of per diem related to field personnel
Assist in overseeing HR related matters surrounding procedures regarding recruitment, promotions, transfers, terminations, and salary changes for field technicians
Assist in the evaluation, training, mentoring, and management of all field supervision
Provide feedback and performance related discussions on staff in person and/or virtually
Complete performance evaluations for direct reports
Other duties as assigned
