What You\'ll Do:
As a Respiratory Therapist at WRC, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver compassionate and effective respiratory care interventions and treatments, including the initiation of ventilatory support and administration of aerosolized medications.
• Monitor and assess patients\' respiratory status and vital signs, ensuring prompt and accurate interventions as needed.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment with precision and expertise, including oxygen administration devices, ventilators, humidifiers, and nebulizers.
• Obtain arterial blood samples for analysis, ensuring meticulous attention to accuracy and adherence to protocol.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

A license or temporary license to practice respiratory care as issued by the Iowa Board of Respiratory Care;

OR graduation from an approved respiratory care training program. Graduates may work up to one year as a "respiratory care practitioner licensure applicant" prior to being licensed.
