Company : Allegheny Health Network :GENERAL OVERVIEW:Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%)
• Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education. (20%)
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%)
• Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum

• Associate\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, CRT, or TPP.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required prior to the expiration of the TPP.
• CPR \xe2\x80\x93 American Heart Association.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred

• Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT).
• 1 year experience in a hospital setting.
